For the Ultimate, we held nothing back. Our engineers sculpted the finest materials — titanium and carbon fiber — to make this our lightest four-piston brake ever. Power, modulation and lever feel set a new standard. Personalization is quick and intuitive. And for performance — well, our test riders didn’t dub it the “Mini-Code” for nothing.
Bleeding Edge - An updated fluid path and bleed porting make it easier to push fluid through the caliper. A dedicated bleed adapter plugs into the bleed port and seals the system to minimize air contamination and fluid loss.
SwingLink - Squeeze a new SRAM brake lever and you notice it immediately. Less deadband. More positive pad engagement. Many brake systems minimize deadband—but at the cost of modulation. SwingLink solves that with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, power is modulated, avoiding that “on/off” brake feel. It’s the perfect balance of power and precision.
Contact Point Adjustment - With Contact Point Adjust, you can pick the position you want your fingers to be in when your brakes are engaged.
Lever Pivot Bearings - Precision sealed bearings at the lever pivot enhance the clean, crisp lever actuation and consistent, light, one-finger feel.
Power Reserve Geometry - We designed our levers with the pivot closer to the handlebar, in fact, closer than anyone else in the industry. The resulting lever movement has less inward travel, an arc that’s closer to your fingers’ natural motion and delivers more force to the brake.
Timing Port Closure - SRAM’s new timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing dependable braking power and consistency.
