The Di2 EW90 junction box is a connection point for the cockpit area, also known as junction A. Its software, which can be kept up to date via the E-Tube platform, determines data such as the current gear position or the battery charge level.

The Di2 SM-EW90-A junction box is a connection point for the cockpit area, also known as junction A. It has three E-Tube connectors, a charging connector and is mounted externally under the stem.  It is compatible with all Di2 shifting systems before Dura-Ace R9250 or Ultegra R8150, but not with Dura-Ace 7970 and Ultegra 6770.

The SM-EW90-B junction box has been specially designed for time trial handlebars and is therefore aimed primarily at riders of Dura-Ace Di2 (from 9070, before R9250) and Ultegra Di2 (from 6870, before R8150) groupsets. This junction has five E-Tube connections, one charging connection and is mounted externally under the stem.
