Due to supplier restrictions and concerns for safety, we do not sell complete bicycles online. The bikes displayed online are a guide to the bicycles we have available from our Kilbirnie bike store at the recommended retail price for the New Zealand market.

| How long will it take for my order to arrive? |
3 days If your order is in stock at the time of purchase.
3-5 days if your order needs to be sourced from our suppliers.
Deliveries are made Monday through Friday only.

| What are the delivery charges? |
$5.50 - Delivery within Wellington (includes Paramata, Porrirua and the Hutt Valley).
$9.50 - Delivery to North Island.
$11.50 - Delivery to South Island.
$35.00 - Delivery fee for oversize items, New Zealand wide.
Additional charges for bulky items may apply. This fee is listed on the product page where applicable.
NOTE: Delivery to Rural areas may incur additional charges. Refer to our Shipping page for additional information. |
| Can you ship to PO Box addresses? |
| Yes we can. This is only an option if goods ordered are able to fit in an A4 sized delivery bag. Refer to our Shipping page for additional information. |
| How do I track my shipment? |
| Our orders are shipped via various couriers. You can track your order with your tracking code (provided in your Order Dispatched confirmation email). Refer to our Shipping page for additional information. |
| Can I pick up my order from the store? |
| Orders cannot be picked up from the store. All orders placed online are shipped to the customer. Refer to our Shipping page for additional information. |

How to Order |
Placing an order with Burkes Cycles online bike store couldn't be easier. Add items to your basket while you browse the site. When you add an item to the basket, you will remain on the same page to continue shopping. View your basket's contents by clicking the basket link at the top right of the Burkes Cycles webpage.
When you are ready to purchase, click 'Checkout'. You can choose to create a customer account or continue without an account. If you plan to shop with us again, having an account means that your name and address details are remembered for future purchases - saving you time next time you buy through us. Enter the details requested and continue to a secure payment screen to enter credit card or payment information.
An email will be sent to you confirming that your order has been placed. We also send a 'dispatch confirmation' email when the goods leave our building. |
Payment Methods |
The easiest way to buy through Burkes Cycles is by credit card - we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Our payment page is protected by SSL encryption technology to ensure you a secure purchasing environment. You'll notice that http becomes https in the address bar when payment information is requested.
We also accept electronic transfer and bank deposit as payment methods. Select the COD payment option and our account information will be provided in the order confirmation email.

Returns and Refunds |
Burkes Cycles and our suppliers are committed to providing quality bike parts, clothing, cycling gear and services. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from us, please follow this procedure to ensure a prompt replacement or refund. In the case of a fault or defect, contact customer services on (04) 387-3036, extension 205, or email orders@burkescycles.co.nz before returning the goods to us.
- Return the item(s) to us, ensuring it is packed well. Use a parcel carrier of your choice
- Include a copy of your invoice, if you do not have your invoice, please include a note with your name, address, e-mail address and reason for return

Privacy and Security |
At Burkes Cycles, we do not sell our mailing list, nor do we disclose private information to any other person or company. Occasionally we may contact you to obtain further information pertinent to your order or to offer other products or services that we feel may interest you. Should you prefer not to be contacted, please let us know and we will ensure that your name is withheld.
With a customer account on the Burkes Cycles website, you have the ability to alter your personal data and change your email address and password. This also enables you to save a delivery address with us that will be stored with your profile. You are responsible for all actions taken with your user name, email address and password - we recommend that you do not disclose your account information to anybody else. If you choose to share your user name, email address or account password with any third parties, you will be held responsible for all actions taken.

Stock Availability |
| We boast a large range of bike products at Burkes Cycles, however not all items are always available from our store. Our aim is to supply you with your order in a timely fashion - if a supply issue arises we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. If items are out of stock, we will also look for comparable items as alternatives. If items are delayed indefinitely and no alternative can be found, we will happily cancel and refund your order. |
Warranty |
Warranty claims cover any fault, defect or failure that occurs as a result of the manufacturing process. Damage or faults occurring as a result of misuse, accident or wear and tear is not covered by our warranty policy. If the product is still under warranty then a repair will be at our expense - including the shipping costs associated with returning or replacing the product. Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
The Consumer Guarantee Act sets minimum standards for goods sold in New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
Fair Trading Act 1986
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in-store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.
