| Since the 1920's the family business known then as Burke Bros has been active in the Wellington bicycle trade. In those days we sold famous brands such as Rudge, Raleigh, Humber, Claude Butler, Empire and Chase. Now more than 80 years on, seeing many changes along the way, the Burke family still own and operate Wellington's premier bicycle store. Burkes Cycles was also presented with the Best Bike Shop award in 1999 as judged by the Bicycle Industry Association of New Zealand. |
| In late 1998 we went through a major expansion to create the store we now operate from. We now have 4000sqr ft of modern retail and workshop space. This has enabled us to offer one of the largest inventory of bikes and accessories in Wellington. Our vast resources also allow us to obtain almost anything for your cycling needs. |

| Our Bike Technicians, in their fully equipped workshop, can service most bicycles from a scooter for a 3 year old to high-end road or mountain bikes. Suspension fork and shock services, custom wheel builds, custom bike builds and general services are some of the tasks performed by our highly skilled team of Shimano certified technicians. |
